Cornelius (Crawford) Crawford of Jordanhill was born in Scotland.

Cornelius was born about 1610. He was the eldest son and heir of Hugh Crawford[1][2] and Elizabeth Stirling, daughter of William Stirling of Law.[3][4]

He married Mary Lockhart.[5][6][4] They were the parents of two sons and two daughters. The sons were:

  1. Hew, heir apparent[5][6][2]
  2. Thomas, progenitor or the Crawfurds of Cartsburn[5] [6][2]

The daughters were:

  1. Margaret, married to James Graham of Killearn[5][6] [2]
  2. Jean, married to Robert Pollock of that ilk[5][6][2]

Cornelius passed away on 30 Sep 1687.[6][1]
