When Mary C "Polly" (Crawford) Houser was born in July 1850[1] in Lawrence, Tennessee, her father, Samuel, was 27, and her mother, Abigail, was 28. She married James Jefferson "Jim" Houser on October 1, 1872[2], in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. They had 13 children in 21 years. She died on July 10, 1926, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, at the age of 76, and was buried in Houser Cemetery.[3].
