Richard Creech was born about 1767 in Cumberland, Cumberland, North Carolina, son of Richard Creech (~1746–>1775) and Mary Caldwell (1753– ).
His father's will names his eldest son Richard; sons William, Charles; daughter Lissy alias Roberds; wife Mary. Assigns friends David Smith and Thomas Killen and his wife Mary as administrators. Dated 1 May 1775.[1]
The dates in for all of these individuals are fuzzy. The birth years of his parents seem somewhat unlikely if in 1775 they had a daughter old enough to be married, and the date of marriage of 1767 would also be difficult in that regard. More information needs to be found for this family in general.
