Biography

Clarence Ray Cripe was born 7 March 1890 in Clinton Twp, Elkhart Co, Indiana. [1] His parents were Martin V Cripe and Mary J (Barthel) Cripe.

In 1900 he was 10 and living with his parents, four siblings, and others in Indiana. [2]

In 1910 he was living with his parents and two brothers in Indiana. [3]

He married Edith Mae Swartz 20 February 1913 in Elkhart County, Indiana. [4][5][6]

In 1920 he was living with his wife Edith, 3 young sons (Harold, Donald and Mervin), and his wife's mother Sarah Swartz in Indiana. [7]

In 1930 they were all still living in Indiana. [8]

Their son Harold married in 1940. [9]

In 1940 Clarence, his wife, Edith, their son Mervin, their daughter Lois, and mother-in-law Sarah Swartz. [10]

Their son Donald married in 1940. [11]

Their daughter Lois married in 1950. [13]

He died 17 July 1970 in Elkhart County, Indiana. [14][15] Buried in Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen, Elkhart, Indiana. [16]
