Biography
Dorcas Crockett was born about 1776 in North Carolina. Dorcas was the daughter of Robert Crockett and Rachel Kerr.
Dorcas is named in the will of her father, Robert Crockett.
Dorcas, age 74, appears in the 1850 Federal census in Giles County, Tennessee in the household of Jacob Cochran.[1]
Dorcas died in Giles County, Tennessee, sometime after the 1850 Federal census and before the 1860 Federal census. Dorcas is possibly buried in the Eliridge Cemetery.
Dorcas's grave is unmarked in the Eliridge Cemetery, Giles County, Tennessee. Dorcas was close to her sister Rachel and should be in a grave in the same cemetery though she died about 5 years earlier than Rachel.[2]
