Biography

Served as High Sheriff of Roscommon |(1773) and sat in the Irish House of Commons (1775-1797).

Edward Crofton was offered a peerage in 1797 but died before receiving it. Instead, his wife became Baroness Crofton in the Peerage of Ireland on December 1, 1797.

Lawder-138 and Crofton-66 appear to represent the same person because: Please Dont make any changes to your Edward Crofton 2nd profile... I belive it to be correct ... howver I have infact created a duplicate by error...

If you could be so kind as to complete the merge BUT make no changes therby it will remove my duplicate (since deletions is no t possible)
