Josiah died before 3 July 1770, when administration of his estate was assigned to Dinah Crofut & Joseph Benedict.[2][7] An inventory of his estate was taken 21 Jan 1771. Joseph Benedict and widow Dinah Crofut administrators swore to the inventory.[8]
