Ellen and William Couch both died at 19 Balwin St Brigown, Mitchelstown Cork Ireland He was 38 and she about 65 Richard (probable brotjer of William Couche) stayed in this house when he returned from Victoria Australia his daughter ellen constance couche died in this house in 1869

Biography Ellen was the mother of William Couche We are trying to find out if it was her sister Margaret Crone who married Richard Couche his brother we believe. She married William Couch his father we believe in Mitchelstown, cork Ireland in 1837
William and Maryann McCarthy moved to Ballarat and William became Superintendant of Police helping attempt to capture Ned Kelly with his troop This is according to notes left by my father on the back of his photograph although this is not on formal records of this venture but he was a most esteemed policeman rising in the ranks each year Re ellens death from Family Search LDS Vol 19 Civil Registrationsociety Ireland 1850-1913

I have found parents of Margaret crone Richards wife were thomas 1811 and honora roche crone 1820? The latter are mentioned on the peerage pages Thomas parents were Richard and elizabeth browning crone It is just that some of these names appear in William Couch childrens names too Any help gratefully recieved Cheers Jeanne
