Willoughby was born about 1855. He lived in Toronto with his parents in 1861 and 1871. [1][2] In 1893, Willoughby passed through Boston on his way to Shetland.
[3] In 1901, he was a banker living with his sister Eliza and her two children in Toronto. His birth date was given as 2_ July 1866, five years after he first appeared in a census. [4]
