Biography

William Crosby was born on September 19, 1787 in Virginia, United States, son of John Cosby and Susan Lucinda Burns.

In 1850, he lived in Clarke County, Mississipi with his mother.

William married Mary (unknown last name) in about 1853. They had one daughter.

William died on May 26, 1855 in Clarke County, Mississippi. He is buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Quitman, Clarke County, Mississippi.^[2]

After William's death, his wife Mary married Arthur J. Martin in about 1860. They were the parents of a son George A. Martin, born 1867.
