Hi Joe,

Thank you for your contributions to WikiTree. I noticed you added a lot of good material to Frances Sampson's profile today. However, there are no sources provided. Since he was born before 1700, sources are required. Would you please go back in to his profile and provide sources of your information? Here is some information about sources on WikiTree: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources

Thank you, Sharon

Hi!

How are you? I'm Shirley, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Shirley ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hello Joe, You are now a member of the WikiTree Community - We are building One Collaborative Tree, with just one profile per person, so it is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree.

"Sources are critically important for genealogy. Some even say that genealogy without sources is mythology. Even if you're just a casual family historian recording modern family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from."

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add, please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Please, be sure to include a list of the sources used, on each profile you add.

If you need any help getting started check out the Help Index or the G2G forum - Good luck growing your branches, Patt

40 years ago my father got me hooked on genealogy. Even before he died in 2004 I was publishing genealogy information to the web. Originally via web pages provided by my former cable provider, now via Rootsweb.com See my web page index: http://freepages.family.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~theduffypapers/index.htm If you click on the Crouch link it goes to the index page for the Descendants of Richard Crouch of Goochland County, VA tracking my collateral Crouch's forward in time. There is no master Gedcom file for this info, although most can be found in multiple Rootsweb.com Gedcom files. Considering migrating the information to Wiki Tree.
