Biography

John was born on October 6th 1845 to Robert Crouch and Margaret Ann Rebecca Cox on John's Island, South Carolina. His family moved when he was a child to Charleston where is his father passed away from Typhoid Fever when he was only 9 years old. He spent most of his life as a Baptist minister and traveled and worked in many different churches in South Carolina and Florida. He loved to play the violin and played his violin only a few hours before his death. John Crouch passed away on January 1st 1916 in Charleston, South Carolina.
