"James Crow was born the eleventh day of November 1713." [1][2], was christened on 12 May 1714 in St Paul's Parrish, Kent County, Maryland, and died on 16 Jul 1794 in Chatham Co., NC, at age 80.
He settled in Orange County, NC before 1752. He lived in Orange County and then Chatham County when it was separated from Orange County in 1770.
Marriages and Children
He first married Hannah Simpson on 16 Nov 1738. Hannah was born on 30 Jan 1722 in St. George's Parish, Baltimore, MD and died in 1742 in Baltimore County, Maryland, at age 20. They had two children[3]

James' will was recorded in Chatham County, NC in 1795. He named the following children: James, Stephen, Reuben, Isaac, Able, William, Hannah, and Abba Riller.[3][5]
Per the Crow Family DNA Study, Crows are in predicted Haplogroup R1b1 who have descended from James Crow, reportedly born November 11, 1713 in Maryland and died in North Carolina in 1794; married Hannah Simpson, then Grace Denson.[6]
