Lewis was born in approximately 1778, Penns Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. His father, Godfrey Crow, was enumerated in several tax records in this location until the family relocated to Kentucky. Lewis appears for the first time in 1799 tax records in Harrison County, Kentucky and is counted as being at least 21 y/o. His marriage license to Susannah ZUMWALT is record two months after this record. Lewis and Susannah emigrated to Missouri Territory with both their extended Crow and Zumwalt families. Lewis obtained a Spanish Land Grant, #1799. When his father, Godfrey, died in 1810, Lewis served as his executor. Lewis Crow ... He passed away in 1855 in Martinsburg, Pike County, Illinois.
