The 1840 census does not give names of spouses or dependants, but it gives their ages and genders. This tells us that Nicholas and Jane had two daughters under 5 years of age in 1840. Since one was Samantha, the other had to be Milky. They were living in Clinton, Jackson Co., Ohio in 1840.
Milky does not appear in the 1850 census so she either married VERY early, went out to service, or died. It is most likely that she died between 1840 and 1850.
