Biography

Cyrenius Crowe was born 1845 in Upper Economy, Colchester County, Nova Scotia to Joseph Crowe. Mother's name still being researched. His Father was a Farmer as was Cyrenius as recorded in his marriage registration in 1867. On December 31, 1867 at the age of 23, Cyrenius Crowe married Jane Callaghan by Baptist Lisence with the Reverend James Reed officiating. Witnesses to the ceremony included Joseph Crowe and J. Young. At some point after their marriage, they made their residence on Robie Street in Truro, Nova Scotia. At the time of his death his occupation was recorded as a Machinist. Cyrenius passed away February 11, 1917 at the age of 71 years 6 months from paralysis which he had endured for about a year. He was buried in Union Cemetery, Truro, Nova Scotia. The informant at the time of death was J.P. MacDonald.
