Abigail Crowell was born in 1715, the daughter of Paul Crowell and Elizabeth Hallett of Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts^{[1] [2] [3]}

In 1737, she married Joseph Collins was born 14 Aug 1713, the son of John Collins and Hannah Doane of Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts^{[1] [4] [5]} Their children included:

1. Hallett, born June 1, 1738^[6], who died in 1758
2. Ruth, born October 25, 1739^{[7] [4]}, who died in 1755
3. Joseph, born November 5, 1741^{[8] [4][9]}, who married Desire Parker on October 11, 1764
4. Benajah, born October 29, 1743^{[10] [4] [9]}, who married Susannah Tracy, March 29, 1770
5. Stephen, born 31 Oct 1745^{[11] [4] [9]}; and who died 22 Feb 1793, Liverpool (Age 47 years)^[1]
