Mary Catherine Cruikshank was born in Louisiana in 1845.[citation needed] She married Louis Luquet or Lucky c.1869.
She married Samuel Beaman in Illinois in 1910.
Mary (Cruikshank) Lucky Beaman died in Illinois in 1917.
From her obituary:
On May 22nd Mrs. S. S. Beaman, aged 71 years, 1 month and 25 days [died].The deceased was born in Louisiana and was a daughter of John Cruikshank and wife.
She was united in marriage about 48 years ago to Louis Lucky who preceded her in death fifteen years ago. To this union were five sons, two of whom, Louis and Arthur, of Springfield survive.
On September 7, 1910 she was married to S. S. Beaman, a respected and well-to-do farmer of Greenwood Township, who with the above two sons and one foster daughter, Mrs. Bessie Feger and several stepchildren mourn her demise. She was a good and devoted wife and mother and charitable neighbor.
The funeral services were held Wednesday by Rev. H. Brant of the German M.E. Church northeast of here. Burial was in the United Brethern Cemetery northwest of here.[1]
