Daniel was born on April 13, 1831 in Caldwell County, North Carolina. He died on Sept. 13, 1906 in Caldwell County, North Carolina.[1]
Daniel served as a private in the Confederate Army in the War for Southern Independance.[2][3] He was captured at Spotsylvania Court Housein 1864 and released in 1865.
