Biography

'John was born about 1819. He was the son of Henry Crump and Bridgit Hunsey.

1849 - John and Anastasia S. Barron married Nov. 4, 1849 in at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Tilbury, Kent Ontario, Canada. John Crump's father was Henry C. Crump from Ireland and his mother was Bridgit Hunsey also of Ireland. John's mother was named on his marriage record. Marriage record shows he was born in Ireland.

John and Anastasia had the following children; Bridget, Ellen, Henry, Elizabeth (Lizzie), Margaret, Anna, Catharina, John, Luisa, and Agnes. Their last four children were born in Munger, Bay County, Michigan.

1851 - Age 31, John was living in Dover Township, Kent County Ontario with wife Ann, 34 and Daughters Bridget 2 and Ellen 1. This calculates to a birth date of 1819 or 1820. [1] Census indicates he was born in Canada of Irish descent.

1861 - Age 43, living in Dover, Kent with spouse and children. This age noted calculates to a birth date of 1818. [2]

1863 - Immigrated to Saginaw, Michigan.

1870 - Age 53, living in Bay City Michigan. This age calculates to a birth date of about 1818. [3]

1881 - John passed away. Noted as after 1870 by Joe Kearns. [4]

1881 - Interred in St Patricks Cemetery, Bay City, Michigan. The date shown on his Findagrave profile is not accurate, as he shows up in the 1870 census and but not in the 1880 census. [5]
