Harriet Crump was a member of the aristocracy in England.

Harriet was born in 1801. She was the second daughter of Colonel Crump of Alexton, in Liecestershire.

Harriet married (1) John Wilson Sheppard, Esq., of Campsey Ashe, Suffolk, on 24 April 1823.

On Thursday last John Wilson, only son of John Sheppard, Esq. of High House, Campsey Ash, in this county, to Harriet, youngest daughter of the late Colonel Crump of Alexton Hall, Leicestershire.

John died suddenly in 1830, aged 29.

Harriet married (2) Hon. and Rev. Robert Wilson, Rector of Ashewethorpe, Norfolk, second son of the Right Hon and Rev. the Lord Berners, on 13 April 1832.

On the 13th inst. at Flordon, Norfolk, the Robert Wilson, rector of Ashwelthorpe with Wrexingham cum Nayland, Norfolk, to Mrs. Wilson Sheppard, widow of John Wilson Sheppard, Esq. late the High House, Campsey Ash, Suffolk.

Robert died in 1850.

Harriet married (3) Rev Edward Newenham Hoare on 23 June 1859.

June 23, at the Lea Church, near Ross, Herefordshire, by the Rev. Wm. Worth Hoare, Incumbent of St. Paul's, Staleybridge, the Very Rev. Edward Newenham Hoare, Dean of Waterford,to Harriet, widow of tho Hon. and Rev. Robert Wilson, late Rector of Ashewethorpe, Norfolk, second son of the late Right Hon and Rev. the Lord Berners.

They had no children.

She died in 1881.

DEATH OF THE HON MRS WILSON. We have to record the death of the Hon Mrs Wilson, mother of Lady Berners, which occurred very suddenly a few days ago, at Abbenhall, Lodge, Gloucestershire. The deceased lady was Harriet, younger daughter and co-heiress of the late Colonel George Crump, and was thrice married - first to Mr John Wilson Sheppard of Campsey Ashe, Suffolk; secondly in 1832, as his second wife, to the Hon and Rev. Robert Wilson, rector of Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk, who died in 1850 ; and thirdly, in 1859, to the Very Reverend Edward Newenham Hoare, Dean of Waterford, but was again left a widow in 1877. Her only surviving child, by her second marriage, is the present Baroness Berners. The sister of the deceased was the first wife of Henry William, Sixth Lord Berners of Keythorpe Hall, Leicestershire.
