Biography

Emily Culpepper wed Abraham M Scarborough July 20, 1831 in Houston County, Georgia.[1]

Emily Moore was enumerated at Houston County, Georgia for the October 22, United States Census, 1850. She was noted as born 1817 in Georgia as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male William S Moore, male George Moore, male Charles Moore, female Sarah M Scarborough, male Charles S Culpepper, male Wiliam Culpepper, female Margarett Culpepper, female Martha Culpepper, male Joseph Culpepper and male James Culpepper.[2]

Emily Moore was enumerated at Perry Post Office, Houston County, Georgia for the August 24, United States Census, 1870. She was noted as born 1817-1818 in Georgia and keeping house as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male William J Moore and male Sampson C Moore.[3]

Emily Culpepper was listed as the mother of William Joseph Moore who died November 26, 1925 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. The father was listed Simpson Moore and the wife Tommie Feogin.[4]

Emily Culpepper Campbell is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Perry, Houston County, Georgia, USA, Plot: V-14 (J.G. Moore Lot).[5]
