Biography

Nova was born Zenobia Hill Culver on Jan. 16, 1879, near Perryhawkin, Maryland, to Geo. Albert Culver and Lydia Adeline Miller.

She was married to Samuel Isaac Dryden, son of Isaac Francis Dryden and Elizabeth Jane Powell on Dec. 8, 1897, at Perryhawkin. In the next 17 years, they would have five known children, two of whom died young.

She survived her husband for some time, dying at the age of 86 on Aug. 7, 1965, at Riverdale.
