William Paul Culver, 68, 308 N. Eckhart St. Auburn, died Saturday at8:20 p.m. in DeKalb Memorial Hospital. He had been hospitalized forthree days. Mr. Culver was a lifetime resident of Auburn and a retiredDana Corporation employee. He lived at his Eckhart St. home the past20 years. He was born in Angola on July 31, 1908 to Marcus and Clara(Reed) Culver. He married Flossie Grate in Nov. 1928 at Kinderhook,Mich., She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are a sister,Teresa Zimmer of Angola, and one grandchild. He was preceded in deathby a son, Wayne and three brothers. He was a member of ImmaculateConception Church, Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 97. Heserved in World War II in the European Theater with the 193rd GeneralHospital. His funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in ImmaculateConception Church. Msgr. Leo Hoffmann will officiate. Burial will bein Auburn Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today atDilgard & Cline Funeral Home, where a Rosary service will be held at7:30 tonight.
