The home of Mr. And Mrs. William Culver, 33 Grenville, was the scene of a June wedding at 8 o'clock last evening, when their daughter, Miss Helen Culver became the bride of Robert Halloran, son of Mrs. William Schieber, 293 North Twenty-fourth Street. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Carleton Brooks Miller, pastor of the First Congregational church, in the presence of 90 guests.
As the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin was played, the wedding party took its place before a background of ferns and peonies and pink and white tapers. Silver bells were suspended from the ceiling over the bridal couple.
Mr. Culver gave his daughter in marriage. She wore a white chiffon gown, fashioned with tight gathered bodice, sweetheart neckline, shore puffed sleeves, and a full, gathered skirt, with white velvet forget-me-not trim and a fingertip veil. She carried white roses tied with a white satin bow. Miss Gladys Jones served as maid-of-honor, wearing a gown of blue and white organdy made with tight bodice, sweetheart neckline and full skirt. She carried Talisman roses.
Ralph Cramer served as best man.
Mrs. Culver chose for her daughter's wedding a dusty rose lace dress, with which she wore white accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Mrs. Lenora Smith Schieber, mother of the bridegroom, wore an Alice blue gown with white accessories and corsage of gardenias.
A reception followed the wedding service and a collation was served. The three-tiered cake was topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom.
The bride is a graduate of Central high school with the class of 1937. The bridegroom attended Springfield Place School and Central high school.
Mr. and Mrs. Halloran left immediately for a weeks motor trip through the east (actually stayed in a cabin at Hart, Michigan, a gift from his Aunt Eva), the bride traveling in a dusty rose lace dress with white accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Upon their return they will reside at 33 Grenville.
The out-of-town guests were the bride's great aunt, Mrs. Cora Aldrich of Cleveland O., and her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. C. Carlisle and Mrs. Fannie Walker of Coldwater; the flowing aunts and uncles of the bridegroom:
