Biography

When Samuel Curtiss was born on January 3, 1678, in Wallingford, Connecticut, his father, Thomas, was 29 and his mother, Mary, was 20. [1] He married Elizabeth Frederick on January 6, 1703, in Hebron, Connecticut. [2] [3] [4] They had 13 children in 22 years. Samuel was a surveyor of highways, farmer and constable (1745). He died on October 29, 1769, in Plymouth, Connecticut, at the impressive age of 91, and was buried in the Andrews Farm Cemetery in New Haven, Connecticut. [5] [6] [7] [8]
