Merging Note

In online trees and records, Mary Cushman has been incorrectly associated with Francis Hutchinson (http://wikitree.com/wiki/Hutchinson-278), the son of William Hutchinson and Anne Marbury. Comparing the well-documented date of death of Hutchinson-278 to Mary's marriage and the birth dates of Mary's children eliminates this possibility, and her husband must have been the other Francis Hutchinson: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hutchinson-652. Biography

From the New England Historical and Genealogical Society: "Mary was born in Plymouth, but the year is unknown. She married Francis Hutchinson about 1676 had three children. She died before October 22, 1690"[1]

Mary, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Allerton) Cushman, was born in Plymouth Colony, date unknown, and died probably in Lynn before October 22, 1690 (referred to as deceased in her father's will). Placing Mary in relation to her siblings she was probably born around 1639. Her father's will names his three grandchildren in Lynn.

Francis Hutchinson "probably married Mary Cushman in 1679, when she was twenty years of age, since Francis, the eldest of their three sons, was born about 1680. She was not lviing when her father made his will on October 22, 1690, bequeathing 'unto my three Grandchildren in Lin the Children of my daughter Mary Hutchinson deceased to each of them twenty shillings to be paid unto them out of Estate Soone after my decease'". [2]

She married Francis Hutchinson from England about 1676. Francis was born around 1630 and died in Reading, Massachusetts on November 12, 1702. Francis was deposed in March of 1665/6 and stated that he was 36 years old. [3]

There are two conflicting marriage records available through Ancestry.com. One says Mary was born in 1641, the other says she was born in 1659. The first indicates the date of marriage as 1676[4][5]

Cushman-559 and Cushman-123 appear to represent the same person because: Same person except for date of birth of which there is no record so any dates would be estimates.
