2nd generation Descendant of Richard Cutter of Cambridge
Samuel married Anne Harrington (Herrington in record) on 10 November 1720 in Cambridge. She was the daughter of John Harrrington and Hannah Winter. [1]
Samuel died intestate in Charlestown on 27 September 1737. He was living in the strip of Charlestown south of the Mystic River near the Cambridge Second Precinct which later became part of West Cambridge, which was later renamed Arlington.[2] His wife Anne was administrator of his estate. An inventory of his estate presented in December 1737 totaled £4186 7s 10d, a large amount for the time. The inventory included "the homestead, being in Charlestown, containing about fifty for acres, lying of the East and West sides of a Road leading to Wobourn with ye dwelling House and barn thereon. All valued at the Sum of One Thousand one hundred and fifty four pounds £1164." His estate included other land in Charlestown along with a substantial amount of land in Cambridge. [3] Samuel is buried at the Old Burying Ground in what is now Arlington, but was then in the Second Precinct of Cambridge. [4]
