Abel Cutter, son of Joseph and Rachel, twin brother of Joel, was born in Jaffrey, New Hampshire on April 18, 1793. [1][2]
Abel, like his brothers, was a successful farmer. He settled first on the farm of Kendall Goff, second on the farm of David Cutter, third on the farm of John Quinn. [1]
He married Mary, daughter of Reuben and Polly (Pratt) Spaulding in Jaffrey, New Hampshire [3][1]
In 1860 he is recorded in Boston Ward 6, Suffolk, Massachusetts. [5]
In 1870 he is listed in Cambridge Ward 4, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [6]
After the death of his wife he moved to Boston and spent the remainder of his life with his son Abel P. Cutter and his son's widow. He died in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Jan 9, 1878. [1][7]
He died in 1878 in Cambridge, Massachusetts at age 84 [8] and is buried with many of his family at Old Burying Ground in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. [9]
