Portland Press Herald (ME) - Tuesday, January 3, 1995

Doris T. Brooks, 91, formerly of Denney Road, died Monday at a Farmington Nursing Home where she had been a patient for two years. She was born at Brookton, a daughter of Douglas and Nina M. Craft Daggett, attended schools there and graduated form Palmer (Mass.) High School in 1921. She was a secretary at the State House in Augusta prior to her marriage to Waldo W. Brooks on Sept. 14, 1927. They moved to Bath in 1943. He died Dec. 19, 1975. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Genesta Chapter of the OES, the DAR and the Bath Senior Citizens. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Joan) Cummings of Oquossoc; a son, Waldo W. Brooks Jr. of Forest City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the United Church of Christ, Congress Avenue, Bath. Burial will take place at a later date in Forest City International Cemetery. Arrangements are by the David E. Desmond Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath.
