George W. Dake served in the Union Army during the Civil War with Co. A Missouri 48th Infantry. He married Mary M. McKee in 1866. They had at least nine children. George died on 11 November 1888 in Miller county, Missouri. He is buried with his wife at Dake Cemetery, Iberia, Miller, Missouri.[1]NOTE: FindAGrave shows his birth place in error as Miller, Missouri. He was born in Tennessee, per all other sources.
