Biography

David Dalrymple was born in 1709, some say Belfast, Antrim, Ireland. David Dalrymple passed away in 1807 in Colrain, Franklin, MA.

His birth from affidavit of the parent on arrival in America c 1711. David and Susanna (Ellison) Dalrymple had ten or twelve children:

  1. William b. 4 June 1751 at Worcester, MA married Mary Straight on Dec 24, 1770.
  2. John Shepard b. 16 Nov 1752 married Hannah Elliot b.? Sep 10, 1755.
  3. Thomas b. 1753
  4. Susannah b. 27 Sep 1754 married Seth Holbrook on May 24, 1774.
  5. Andrew b. 10 Sep 1756 married Rosanna Scott on Mar 15, 1786.
  6. Dorothy b. 25 May 1759.
  7. David b. 12 March 1762 d. 22 August 1840 married Jenette Clark on Mar 27, 1787.
  8. Hannah b. 10 Jan 1764 d. 31 July 1827 married James White on Nov 24, 1784.
  9. Edward b. 2 May 1767, bp. 30 August, married Betsey Henderson before 1789.
  10. Mark b. 29 Dec 1769
  11. Hercules b. 3 Oct 1771 Silver Creek, Chautauqua, New York married Elizabeth Clarke about 1796.
