Biography

John was born in 1792. John Dalrymple ... He passed away in 1878.

In 1850, the Dalrymple family lived in Princeton, Bureau County, Illinois. The household included John E. Dalrymple, 58, born in South Carolina, a farmer, with $100 in real estate; his wife Nancy, 49, born in Virginia; their children, Sarah, 21; Elizabeth, 20; Susan, 17; Isaiah, 15; Nancy, 14; Rose Ann, 12; and John A., 10, born in Ohio.[1]

In 1860, they lived in Delhi Township, Delaware County, Iowa. The family included John E. Dalrymple, 68, a farmer, with $900 in real estate; his wife Nancy, 59; and their son John A., 20, born in Ohio.[2]
