Biography

Margaret Dalton was born about 1825 in County Kerry, Ireland.

Margaret married James White in 1859. Their daughter was Catherine (White) Siepmann (1860 - 1950).^[1]

In the 1870 census Margaret (age 49) was in Iowa Township, Benton, Iowa, United States.^[2]

In the 1880 census Margeret (age 55), Keeping House, was the wife of James White in Washington Township, Marshall, Iowa, United States.^[3]

Margaret filed for a Civil War pension as James White's widow in 1897.^[4]

Margaret died on 25 Dec 1924 in Tipton, Cedar, Iowa, United States aged ~99. She is buried in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery In Tipton.^[5]
