Confusion of Samuel Daltons
This profile conflates multiple Samuel Daltons. Parents and marriage to Mary Power in profile are incorrect.
The Ohio Michael is almost certainly in the 1860 Ross County OH census, born in OH, with wife Mary,[1], perhaps Mary Smith. The s/o Henry Dalton and Nancy Owen was with Mary C. in the 1860 Halifax County VA census[2].
Virginia Samuel married Mary C. Power in Pittsylvania County VA on 22 Jun 1857[3]. His parents are named in this record as Henry and Nancy Dalton. His age in the 1860 and 1850 censuses would indicate birth c1838. He probably died in Halifax prior to 1 Feb 1869 when Mary remarried to William Yeates.[4]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel:
Mary C Power attached to this profile as spouse was more than likely married to a different Samuel Dalton. Note on the marriage record that Samuel Dalton was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, in 1838. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:CL96-KJZM
Your Samuel Dalton was born in Illinois 8 years prior. Both Samuel's could have had fathers named Henry.
May I gently suggest that this profile could use a bit of organization as I found it difficult to follow.
