Daniels was born to Handel Newton Daniels and Nancy Lloyd in April 1938.
He attended Sir William Turners Grammar School in Coatham, Redcar.
Daniels Married his first wife, Jacqueline Skipworth in 1960. They have three sons, Gary, Paul and Martin.
He married his second wife, Debbie McGee in Buckinghamshire on April 2nd 1988.
His television debut was Opportunity Knocks in 1970. A talent show, in which he came second. Following this, he was offered a regular spot on The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club, for Granada Television.
His first series for the BBC was "For My Next Trick", this led to Daniels presenting his own series The Paul Daniels Magic Show which ran from 1979-1994.
He also hosted several other television shows including Wipeout and Wizbit.
Daniels owned a magic shop in Wigan.
He died on 17 March 2016, at the age of 77.
