John T. Danner is found with his parents in the 1850 census at the age of 16. It's possible his middle initial stood for Townsend, his mother's maiden name. He was a farmer.
Sometime in or before 1870, John moved to Benton County, Iowa, where he married Rachel Ann Hite and raised a family of six children, including a pair of twins. The 1870 through 1920 census in which he has been found are extracted as follows ...

The family was living on Dustan Street.

John T. Danner lived to the age of 87. He and Rachel are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton, Iowa.
