Biography

Henry Darnall was born about 8 Nov 1765, possibly in Poplar Hill, Prince George's, Maryland ^[1][2] as the son of John Watts Darnall (1736-1798) and Mary Ann McDonald OR Mary Ann (McDaniel) Darnall (1745-1830)(A discrepancy exists for her accurate maiden name).^[3]

Henry Darnall / Darnell (spelled Darnall on the U.S. and International marriage record) (spelled Darnell on the KY marriage record) and Sarah (Turpin) Darnall (abt.1778-abt.1854) married in Winchester, Clark, Kentucky, on 7 Jan 1797.^[2][4]

Abt. 29 Feb 1844 Henry Darnall prepared and signed his will while living in Hendricks, Indiana. Probate date shows as 28 Feb 1844 (1 day prior to date of will) and shows an inferred death date of between 29 Feb 1844 and 23 May 1846 (Judges signature) in Indiana. The will disburses his estate equally between his 2 sons, "Luzpin" (i.e. Turpin Darnall (abt.1799-abt.1881)) and William Harrison Darnall (abt.1813-1900) and Matilda Swain after his wife, Sarah (Turpin) Darnall (abt.1778-abt.1854)whose needs and wishes are to be first in line. He also mentions a daughters Polly Flathers and Elizabeth (can't read name), a deceased son, Zachariah Darnall, a son Ezekial, and granddaughter Maria I. Darnall. See his will for more info. ^[5]
