Andries is presumably the grandchild of Christopher Davis but different sources give him different parents and there are multiple versions of him across the sons of Christopher.
According to his marriage record, Andries was born in Albany. His birth would have occurred before the earliest surviving records from Albany. There are at least three sets of possible parents for him:
None of these people appear as witnesses to the baptisms of his children. Salomon Davids, the son of Joris Davidszen, did appear at the baptism of Andries' son David. It is also possible that Andries is not related to any of them.
Andries Davidse(n) married Cornelia van Vliet in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, on 7 December 1701. They had registered banns at Albany on 22 November 1701 and also at Kingston, but the date of their Kingston banns is not in the record.[2][3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Andries by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Andries:
Prof. Jonathan Pearson (Albany historian) refers to him as "Andries Davidtse Christoffelse Davidts". Does this help resolve the question of who was his father?
Davis-10026 and Davidts-1 appear to represent the same person because: the last name is spelt different so I would suggest that Davis be set as the LNAB and then add Davidts as other last name.
