Joan Margaret Knowles Davies was born in 1907 in Chorley, Lancashire, England.[1] In the 1911 census Joan (age 3) was the daughter of Arthur Knowles Davies in Moss House Farington Nr Preston Lancashire, Clayton le Woods, Lancashire, England.[2]
