Edwin Bye was born in 1855[1] at Stoke, Nelson, the son of John Davies and Amelia Ann Newth.
In 1882 he married Emma Eliza Burnett[2], youngest daughter of Richard Burnett and Sarah Ironmonger.
Six children were born in his marriage to Emma.
They settled at Dovedale where Edwin worked as a Farmer.
Edwin Davies died in 1921 age 65[3][4] and is buried at Dovedale Cemetery.[5]
Iterative searches have been done in the Birth, Death and Marriage Historical Records website to confirm the specific date of the event.
The BDM Online birth record has been accepted, despite there being no given name, on the basis that the parents are correct and the date corresponds to the age at death.
