In 1841, Richard was recorded as a 40 year old bootmaker at 10 Tib Lane, Manchester, Lancashire, England. Martha Davies 40, Sarah Ann 19, Charles 14, William 10 and Joshua 3. Eliz Stamberg 30 and Catherine McConnell 25 are also recorded in the household.
