Apparently James E. Davies Sr. came to America to work in the coal mines from Briton-Ferry, Glamorganshire, Wales with his son James Jr. He later changed their name to DAVIS. Another son, David Davies, was born 10/2/1880 in Honey Pot, Nanticoke, Luzerne County, PA. He married Nellie B. Melvin on 8/16/1920 in Luzerne County, PA. Their daughter June born 5/4/1923 married William Sukus. born on 3/22/1914 in Kingston, Luzerne County, PA on 9/10/ 1949.
