Biography

Joseph Charles was the first child of Joseph and Mary Caroline Davies.
In the Land Titles Office, Adelaide, it is recorded that in September, 1911, Joseph Charles Davies, labourer, took up land in the Hundred of Mobilong, Allotments 58 and 59, at the corner of Eleanor Terrace and McHenry St, Murray Bridge.
Joseph built a house on his land at 85 McHenry Street,where he and his wife lived for the rest of their lives.
Bertha died in 1959 and Joseph in 1969.
They had two children, Ida Olga and Charles Edward who continued to live in the family home. Neither of them married.
