Biography
Fairfield R. Davis was born at Dunstable, New Hampshire on June 24, 1830, son of Zenas and Martha (Roby/Robey) Davis. [1]
He married Caroline Lane at Bedford, Massachusetts on November 13, 1854.[2] She was born at Bedford, Massachusetts in October, 1833, daughter of David and Betsy (Simonds) Lane.
Fairfield died at Bedford, on June 30, 1867. [3]
He is buried in the Shawsheen Cemetery at Bedford, Massachusetts with his wife Caroline and their sons Walter E. Davis and George W. Davis. His inscription reads: DAVIS - 1830 Fairfield R Davis -1867[4]
Caroline died at Bedford on October 29, 1911. [5]
