Biography

Jane was born in 1786, probably in Monmouth County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of John Davis and Marvel Maxon. She married [[Livingston-xx|Andrew Livingston on 8 Apr 1800 in Harrison County. The couple moved to Clark County, Ohio in about 1813. They had eight children together before her husband died in 1828. Jane later moved and settled in Rock County, Wisconsin, where she died in 1865.

Jane was mentioned on a memorial in Milton Junction Cemetery, Milton, Rock County, Wisconsin, United States with a death date of 11 Jul 1865.^[1]

Research notes

Some family trees cite Jane's birth date and place as 13 Mar 1784 in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The New Jersey birthplace would make sense given that the migration of families in the Seventh Day Baptist community to Pennsylvania and West Virginia happened only in the late 1780s.
