Isaac inherited land on Brushy Run from his Father who was Deputy Sheriff of Prince William County 1759.
Isaac Davis purchased from Bertrand Ewell 200 acres of land in Terrapin Forest, Prince William Co., VA, which adjoined land of Thomas Davis and Richard R. The parcel was surveyed by Cornelius Kincheloe and was witnessed by Jesse Davis and William and Sarah Tyler, sister of Elizabeth Kincheloe, Isaac’s wife. In this deed [no date], Isaac Davis directed that after his death, this land was to be conveyed to his youngest son, Henry Davis. (Deed 14) [This parcel of land was sold on 3 Oct 1791 by Henry and Fanny Davis, who now resided in Nelson Co., KY (Deed 23).[1]
Per a recollection of his grandson, Isaac Davis lost his life in a burning house trying to save his papers and money a short time before the War of the Revolution.[2]
