It seems to me that Samuel does name a daughter Rebecca in his will (not Deborah as it above: 'my four daughters Rachel, Deborah, Sarah and Mary L18 a piece').
It looks like whoever wrote out Samuel's will for him first put 'Deborah' and then made corrections to the 'D' (changing it to 'R'), 'o' (to 'e') and 'r' (to k') to spell 'Rebekah'. (https://www.americanancestors.org/DB515/i/13764/7329-co6/30139334)
'Rebeckah [d. Samuel, deceased. int.]' married Abiel Kelly 5 January 1696(/97) at Newbury, just shy of four months after Samuel's death.
There are no other records in Newbury for either a Rebecca or a Samuel Davis for another fifty years, so safe to say neither was of Newbury.
ETA: I just looked. Hoyt came to the same conclusion: '* The record book at Sm. reads Dorothy, an error in copying. The original will has Rebecca.'
