John U Davis was enumerated at Post Office Morganton, 913 Dist G. M., Fannin County, Georgia for the June 22, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1851 in Georgia and was marked as having attended school within the last year as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Elam H Davis, male Albert E Davis, male Isaac H Davis, female Sarah E Davis, female Emily Davis, female Sophia A Davis and female Sarah L Davis.[1]

John Davis was enumerated at Morganton Post Office, Militia District 1130, Fannin County, Georgia for the July 21, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1850-1851 in Georgia and works on farm as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Elim Davis and male Hood Davis.[2]
