Biography
Alice E. Davis, daughter of Ben Davis and Elizabeth Payne, was born on 20 February 1881 in Macon County, North Carolina and passed away on 30 May 1951 in Franklin, Macon County.[1] She is buried in Old Cartoogechaye Baptist Cemetery, Franklin, Macon County.[2]
Alice married Thomas S. Dills on 31 July 1898 in Macon County, North Carolina, at the home of Mrs. Davis, by Thomas M Slagle, JP. Witnesses were: Joe Sweatman (Thomas' brother-in-law), W S Johnson and J M Dills (Thomas' father). [3] They had eight children.
